Editorial Design

As a long-time editorial designer at the tabloid press, I designed newspaper pages every day, which not only had to attract the reader's attention, but also had to offer as much added value as possible in a limited space.

Working closely with the editors in charge, I created themed pages for the Rhineland carnival, with a colorful mix of photos and side stories, designed lead stories on the latest celebrity gossip or everyday stories from the tabloids. Here I was able to express myself creatively and prove my flexibility and resilience even under daily time pressure.

Switch from print to digital

During this time, I regularly attended in-house training sessions, which increased my interest in the digital field. After eight exciting years in journalism, I want to focus even more intensively on the design of digital and user-centered products and started further training as a UX/UI designer, which I successfully completed in March 2024.
